How to Draw Great Art No. 11. TOULOUSE LAUTREC’s ARISTIDE BRUANT. Happy Drawing! with Frank Rodgers

Join me at my drawing board and see how easy it is to recreate one of Toulouse Lautrec’s striking posters. He designed many posters for cafe/bars such as the Moulin Rouge. This one is very famous – created in 1892 – and shows his friend, the cabaret artist Aristide Bruant who was appearing at the Ambassadeurs nightclub.
Once you have drawn and coloured your own poster, why not try more of my tutorials – there are almost 300 of them. You’ll discover not only how to create great characters from all the main story genres but also learn how to draw everything from the Titanic to Captain Jack Sparrow, from Hogwart’s express to a Native American Chief, from Darth Vader to Picasso’s ‘Weeping Woman’.
You’ll also pick up lots of invaluable tips on pen and pencil drawing and colouring as well as illustration and comic book techniques.
So what are you waiting for? Get out your pens and pencils, choose one of my videos and start drawing!
