Disney’s version of Snow White may be the most universally known, but the story itself is much older. The German fairy tale was first published by the Brothers Grimm in 1812. Some experts believe it was based on the real life story of Margaretha von Waldeck, a German countess born in 1533. She was forced by her stepmother to move away, fell in love with the prince of Spain, and was poisoned by those who opposed the relationship. Another theory is that Snow White is based on a baroness born in 1725.
You don’t need any special pens or tools. A regular pencil, eraser, and paper are all you need.
